ANTON CREDITS MOYES FOR MASSIVE TURNAROUND

Former West Ham United and Queens Park Rangers (QPR) centre back Anton Ferdinandhas credited David Moyes for the quality shown by West Ham United as they continue to chase down a top-four spot that will guarantee Champions League football ahead of the 2022/23 season. Anton Ferdinand was delighted with West Ham United manager David Moyes and the changes he made during the recent home win over London rivals Chelsea.

Anton Ferdinand praised Moyes and the changes he made in the second half to turn the game around for West Ham during the win over Chelsea. Moyes masterminded things from the dugoutas the Hammers came from a goal down twice to win the game and Anton responded by saying that Moyes played a big part in the comeback win over the Blues earlier this month.

Veteran Brazil national team defenderThiago Silva gave Chelsea the lead before it was cancelled out by a Manuel Lanzini penalty after Blues shot stopper Edouard gave a penalty away. Lanzini dispatched the penalty to restore parity, but the Hammers could not take the draw to the end of the first 45 minutes after England international Mason Mount produced a fine finish for a 2-1 Chelsea lead at break.

Moyes was praised for the way he turned things around with the way he was able to make some changes to his team. The technical and tactical flexibility shown by Moyes was rewarded with goals from Jarrod Bowen and Arthur Masuaku in the second half. The Hammers were able to cement their place in the top four when it comes to Premier League football.

The London Derby defeat at the hands of West Ham United ensured that Chelsea lost top spot to Premier League holders Manchester City, while Liverpool are their nearest challengers in second spot.
