Anton Ferdinand has taken to Instagram to react to the bit of transfer activity that West Ham United have been able to conclude recently, giving his views on the move. The Hammers recently announced on their official website that they have activated the clause that allows them to complete the permanent signing of Craig Dawson, the Watford defender who was initially on loan at the club.

Dawson completed a temporary transfer to West Ham United from Championship side Watford last summer in a bid to swap the Championship for the Premier League, and he has performed excellently since then. He has become a great signing for West Ham since his arrival and has earned some huge praises as well.

The club’s manager David Moyes said the defender has proved beyond reasonable doubt that he has the set of qualities the club need and that he can also help them achieve their objectives. He has now been rewarded for his outstanding form with a permanent contract and will now continue his stay at the club beyond the expiration of his loan deal.

Dawson is 30 and already has more than enough Premier League experience before suffering the drop with Watford last season. However, his return to the English top-flight will have to continue because of his contract extension.

West Ham also confirmed the news via their official Instagram page where they announced that the defender will be staying at the club until at least 2023, and the piece of news has attracted some reactions. Ferdinand commented under the post and insisted that the contract was a deserved one due to the impact the defender has made so far.

Also, Dawson’s teammates Declan Rice and Angelo Ogbonna congratulated him via the comment section of the post.
