Terry Cleared Of All The Charges

John Terry has been cleared of the criminal charges against Anton Ferdinand and Terry said that the door has been closed about that incident. Anton Ferdinand was racially abused by John Terry in October 2012 for which he was banned for four matches.

The current England manager Roy Hodgson said that John Terry would not be in the squad which will travel to Brazil for the World Cup 2014. Although there were rumors about John Terry coming back but the manager has ruled out the possibilities of that happening.

He also said that the team has coped well without him and there are class players who are waiting to get an opportunity to play for the national side. Phil Jones and Chris Smalling are two of the brightest faces who are playing for the full back position for England currently and the manager believes that the defense is stronger than many teams which are about to participate in the World Cup.

The 33 year old Chelsea full back had shared a good partnership with Gary Cahill and had pleased not only the manager but also the football world. Their partnership has also been fantastic for Chelsea which helped them to climb the top of the Barclays Premiere League recently. John Terry has 75 caps for England so far and Gary Lineker in a recent interview said that it would be interesting to see whether Roy Hodgson makes any last minute changes or not because the inclusion of Terry would be a huge boost to the team. Not only is he an experienced defender but also scores timely goals for the team. The brawl against Anton Ferdinand took some toll in the decision which Roy Hodgson has made and it is to be seen whether he goes for new faces this year or chooses Terry in the last second.
